Marlow-on-Thames is a charming and picturesque town in Buckinghamshire. Being a former market town, it is rich in history and Georgian and Victorian architecture.

Its greatest landmark, and most photographed spot in the town, is the 19th century Marlow suspension Bridge which offers breath taking views across the Thames River, weir and lock and the 18th century All Saints Church.

Higginson Park is a stunning park where you can enjoy spectacular riverside views and feed the local swans. There you will find Court Garden, built in the mid-18th century by Dr Battie, who at first forgot to put in a staircase. Just in front of this building is the Marlow Museum, a free-access museum which allows you to discover the history of the town and the surrounding area.

Take a stroll around Saint Peter Street, its most ancient street, with interesting old houses and cottages. Just facing this street, lies Marlow Place, the finest Georgian house in the town.

Just around the corner, the gorgeous High Street is the perfect place to admire fascinating facades while enjoying shopping at its cosy shops or having a drink at its reputed breweries.

This lovely town is well-known in the Thames Valley area for its excellent culinary offer. It boasts several Michelin-starred restaurants and pubs, two of them being run by the celebrity chef - Tom Kerridge.
