Marlow Bridge is a road traffic and foot bridge spanning the River Thames between the town of Marlow and the village of Bisham in Buckinghamshire.

The history of the bridge dates back to the 13th Century, when a wooden bridge was placed above the Thames at Marlow.

After collapsing in 1828, a new bridge was built by Tierney Clark between 1829 and 1832 and it was fully restored in 1965.

Clark was responsible for designing four suspension bridges, the largest and most popular being the Széchenyi Chain Bridge across the Danube in Budapest. The Marlow Bridges’ unusual structure, breath taking views across the river and the 18th Century All Saints Church is a fascinating piece of history and a ‘must-see’ attraction when visiting the area.

If you are staying at our hotel, why not take a gentle 20-minute walk and experience it for yourself.
